Welcoming "Parentes Basic School"

New School from Czech Republic associates Easse

The letter sent by Jan Vepřek, headmaster of "Parentes Basic School", to EASSE :

"My name is Jan Vepřek and I am the headmaster of Parentes Basic School. I am glad to be given the opportunity to give you information on our school. Parentes Basic Schoolwants to provide the children with as good and personalized education as possible. This is why we focus on separating the genders. The individual attitude is of great importance to us and we also offer our children school tutors to be of assistance with children’s school and personal problems.

All the families in our project are willing to undergo the change into a single-sex school as soon as possible.

The school is located in Dobřejovice, near Prague, the capital city. We are a part of a larger project Parentes that links kindergartens and basic schools. At the moment we have 50 pupils, approximately 25 boys and 25 girls. We are planning to build our own school building that would suit 440 pupils. We focus on giving good education in languages (English, Spanish, German), Maths and IT. We also feel that tutoring method is greatly supporting the overall growth of the kids.

We are glad that we can be a part of a bigger organization that helps with explaining the reasons that speak for the single-sex education.

Our aim is to bring up children and young people that want to contribute to the society and to be respectful and responsible. To achieve single-sex education is our great goal and it is a structural part of our overall project.

With best regards

Jan Vepřek, headmaster of Parentes Basic School"
