The next 19 and 20 of April the IV International Congress of single-sex education organized by EASSE will be held in Lisbon (Portugal).

Several international experts will speak among them, Alfonso de Salas, Program Director of Human Rights of the Council of Europe, Jaume Camps, Professor and researcher from the International University of Catalonia and Abigail James, Professor, writer and expert on education.

A roundtable will be held with Presidents and executive directors of: Alliance of girl Schools Australasia (AGSA), Asociación Latinoamericana de Centros de Educación Diferenciada (ALCED) the International Boys´Schools Coalition (IBSC), National Coalition of Girls´Schools (NCGS), Girls´Schools Association (GSA) and National Association for Single Sex Public Education (NASSPE). Also be Representatives from  different single-sex education associations are expected from Australia, USA, Argentina, Italy and Spain.

The Association European of single-sex centers (EASSE) has among its objectives the protection and promotion of the rights and interests of education centers with systems of single-sex education, and families who want a single-sex education. Also, promotes the training of teachers of single-sex education centers or mixed centers so that they know better the characteristics of their students and they can educate better.

One of the objectives of The Association European of single-sex centers (EASSE) is to protect the interests of and promote the rights of educational centers that offer a single sex education as well as  the families  who want a single sex education for their children. It also promotes teacher training for teachers who teach in single sex centers or coeducational centers so that they can better understand the characteristics of their students and thus be better teachers.
